Hospitality Rising Stars Celebrate Success

Once again it is Award Season for the Hospitality Industry and there are too many award ceremonies to mention and attend, although there are two awards that are very close to my heart. These are the ones that recognise the up and coming rising stars in our industry – these are the names we should be looking out for as they are our future hospitality managers. So read on to find out which hospitality rising stars celebrate their success.

I was delighted to support the Boutique Hotelier’s Personal Service Star Awards. They had ten categories of awards and Star Quality Hospitality sponsored their Customer Service Award. These awards go to the individuals that work tirelessly in our hotels to ensure our customers leave with memorable guest experiences.

Boutique Hotelier Awards 2015, Hilton Hotel, Olympia

I was delighted to present the Customer Service Award to Francesco Antonazzo from South Place Hotel. The Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Stars are revealed and full coverage of the event will be published in their November issue of Boutique Hotelier.

The other awards celebration I attended was the Institute of Hospitality London’s Aspiring Manager Awards. As some of you may be aware I was the previous Chair for the Institute of Hospitality London and have worked with the London Committee to organise this event.  This is probably the last event I will have organised with the London Committee as I passed my Chairmanship on to Ben Singer at the last AGM. What an event to end the year on – with a room full of 120 hoteliers we held this prestigious event at The Savoy, they were welcomed with a Champagne Reception, had a three course dinner, and our guest speaker was Celebrity Chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE FIH DL who gave a very inspiring speech. The awards were then presented which was followed by dancing to Shane Hampsheir and his swing band.

We had 12 shortlisted candidates for the 3 awards which were presented to our winners by celebrity chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE FIH DL. The winners were:

Congratulations go out to all our winners for both these events and I look forward to following their careers and hearing about their achievements.
