Last week I attended the Independent Hotel Show and was delighted to bump in to lots of industry associates and clients also attending the show. It was at this event I was able to combine hospitality networking and awards celebrations all on one day!
After the show on the first night are the Independent Hotel Show Awards and this year they introduced a new award for ‘General Manager of The Future’. I was thrilled that this was awarded to Samantha Rieu, Hotel Operations Manager at Dukes London.
Although the celebrations did not stop there as straight after these awards just around the corner at the Hilton London Olympia were the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards. I have been a sponsor for these awards for the last five years and presented the award to the winner of the Customer Service Award, John Stratford from The Vineyard.
As a sponsor at these awards I also provide a small gift for all those that attend. This year they were in receipt of a notepad and pen made from recycled materials as well as their ‘Golden Ticket’ which gives them exclusive access to the ‘Managing People’ online course which I consulted on.
